John, in his telling of the

the scattered

scattered by a lack of
centering on
One
who made us/ makes us still,
but we would rather
scatter anywhere
from our true heart,
to busyness, escaping
from the One who calls
each one of us by
Name.
For this he came to God,
his Father-God
with utter list’ning of his utter heart,-
and gathered in his being our
escaping
running
frittering of life and love,-God Love –
and in his gathering he gathered
all of me, of us
in one Great Act of Love,- his love and ours,.-
if only I will come with him
to what I left behind,
my truth,
my self,
my One my Only God.
‘He died not only for the Nation
but to gather together into One
the (still-)scattered children of God.’
