Earthed, Earthen Vessel
cracked by the cold of
Sin, within,-
a piece of ‘crockery’
I am:
And in this very vessel
Power,
His Power,
amazing in its
breadth and height and
depth-

Why me?
Why any one of many?
He is free,
completely free,
to use me as He will-
-and He most surely will
if I but recognise
and daily see
the cracks that
disobeying Him
have caused in me:
if I but see these cracks,
yet more His Power
immense
at work
wherever His Words in me
show forth and give to others’ hearing
‘the knowledge of God’s glory, the glory on the face
of Christ.’
