The Word became flesh
my flesh
all flesh
and all humanity is graced
beyond its depth.
All flesh, all peoples everywhere
are now the Word of God,-
they have been touched
by his being one of us.
For all have sat at table
with the Man,
Creator-Word,
this Only God:
If one has sat, we all have sat with Him.
See now among all peoples
all my ‘Others’
-of some ‘other’
faith
or race
or reasoning-
see how they’re graced by this
Redeemer God
they do not know;
they have not seen his face,
but He sees theirs;
he sits a stranger at their every table,-
Hindu, Shaman, Muslim,
Buddhist too-
and Atheist.
But none is ‘strange’ to him, He knows no ‘Other’
for all flesh is His flesh,
his tent is with them all,
His grace surpasses grace
in every ‘one.’
