What inter-twining of realities
that we should be in Him,
and He in us:
‘this is my body’ now
says He
of us:
‘this is my body’ now
say We
of Him
who walked the roads of
Nazareth
and now;
the two became one flesh
upon a cross, and since-
and now He’s risen, victor, glorified,
we are with him,-
for in this too we say
‘this is my body’ where the two
become a flooded flesh, one flesh,
Christ and the Church.
We eat because we are,- all One, with Him.
