Upside Down

A 'Christ'
			David was,
			well-oiled of God.
A 'Christ'
			each prophet was,
			Anointed-Sent to
			bring a people home.
The 'Christ'
			long-waited for,
			and oiled with perfume rare:
			of Mary Son,
			Jesus, Nazarene,
			Spirit-filled and
			Sent -
			'My Word!'
Rabbi
			poor with sinners
			banqueting
			ridiculed as
			accursed of God.
Son
			of the Most High
			lies low upon the
			hard earth of
			God's Garden,
			Gethsemane
Lowly One
			High
			on a cross
Risen One
			from darkness
			out of cold
			in the waters
			of birthing
			bursting forth,
			seed sown
			deeply wide in
			hearts of many ears.
This Christ
			drives taxis
			fills bag at checkout
			faxes notes
			makes tea
			reads screens
			thins turnips.
This Christ
			digger of trenches
			pilot of planes
			reading for exams:
This Christ protesting
			abuse of power
			games of faith
			feet untouched:
This Christ is dancing
			width of mercy
			netfull of sinfull,
			feminine of God:
This Christ is
			broken
			side by side
			one book
			two cups
			many mansions
			bridges broken
			and rebuilt, stone
			by painful stone:
			One Christ
			however parted.
Now Christ
			in Davids, multiplied today,
			still in prophets,
			still the Master washing feet,
			still at checkout...
My Word!.......made flesh... Who? Me ?
